As an RF Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for repairing complex electronic equipment. This involves troubleshooting to determine operational failures, replacing or repairing malfunctioning components, and testing equipment to ensure it meets documented performance standards.
ResponsibilitiesRepair semi-complex electronic equipment such as printed circuit boards, multiplexing systems, and amplifiers.Troubleshoot equipment by performing various diagnostic tests to identify operational failures.Reconstruct or replace defective parts as necessary and adjust mechanical components.Review all engineering change notices related to the design and operation of the equipment.Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications.Apply new paint or coatings to equipment components.Test equipment to ensure it meets documented performance standards.Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests in a computer database.Provide technical assistance to Production, Test, Field Service, and Engineering departments for product investigations.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience.1 to 3 years of experience as a repair technician.Proficiency in using hand tools.Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with RF and microwave components.Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and testing circuits.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in testing, troubleshooting, and electrical engineering.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is primarily on the manufacturing floor, where you will work at a designated bench. Depending on the test requirements, you may work in chambers. The role involves troubleshooting products, identifying or confirming issues, repairing or replacing parts, retesting, and moving products along the production line. You'll work closely with a lead and supervisor who are willing to provide training. The work schedule follows a 9/80 work week, with nine-hour days and an eight-hour Friday. Compensation is paid bi-weekly.
