Job Title: RF Design Engineer

Job Description & Responsibilities

•\tWork as part of small RF/MW group designing state-of-the-art integrated microwave assemblies with access to latest technology in RF and MW design.

•\tWork as the main engineer designing Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMA).

•\tSupport development through component selection, evaluation, simulation, modeling, and testing.

•\tResearch, simulation, and modeling of individual components and system level designs.

•\tDesign work ranging from analog and digital circuits, fabrication and assembly, PCB design, hybrid assembly, test, and debugging of electrical assemblies

•\tOpportunities to work in all aspects of design from initial development phase through full-rate production support.

•\tChallenging work supporting all products in the fast-moving design environment of Textron Systems Electronic Systems organization.

Skills & Qualifications

•\tBachelor of Science degree electrical engineering with 5-10 years of MW/RF experience or Master of Science with a concentration in RF/MW Design with 3-5 years of experience

•\tExperience designing Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMA) and the key design elements.

•\tExpertise with simulation and CAD tools used in performing RF/MW designs.

•\tDetailed knowledge of RF/MW circuit design, analysis, and layout techniques.

•\tBackground of RF/MW component selection and key design trade-offs.

•\tExtensive knowledge of RF/Microwave testing equipment including synthesizers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, vector network analyzers, phase noise test set.

•\tAbility to interface directly with engineering, test, manufacturing, and suppliers/subcontractors.

•\tProficiency in designing, specifying, and testing of electrical components, subassemblies, and cables.

•\tAbility work with people in a collaborative environment and earn the respect of peers.

•\tAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Work Environment

Our client is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), EW Simulators, and other RF-related products for the Department of Defense/ the Warfighter. They maintain a large facility in Hunt Valley, MD with plenty of R&D/ Lab space as well as Production/ Manufacturing and Testing/ Simulation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hunt Valley, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
