Overview

The Revenue Process Improvement Coordinator supports revenue cycle performance by working directly with operational teams to ensure execution of revenue-critical workflows. This role provides day-to-day operational support, monitors compliance with standardized processes, and assists in implementing improvements that reduce denials, rework, and delayed billing.

 

This position works in-step with operations and serves as a tactical extension of Revenue Cycle Management functions.

Monday - Friday
8:30am - 5pm CST

Responsibilities Provides hands-on support to Intake, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Scheduling teams on revenue-related processesReinforces documentation, authorization, charge capture, and handoff requirementsServes as a day-to-day resource for revenue process questionsMonitors adherence to revenue-critical workflowsIdentifies execution gaps, delays, or recurring errorsCommunicates findings and trends to the ManagerTracks and reports process-level KPIs related to documentation timeliness, authorization completeness, and billing readinessMaintains issue logs tied to payer, therapy, or operational stepDelivers just-in-time coaching and workflow reinforcementSupports rollout of new procedures and job aidsAssists with onboarding new operational staff on revenue-critical behaviorsParticipates in process mapping and improvement initiativesAssists with pilot testing and implementationGathers frontline feedback to refine workflowsIdentifies operational issues that pose revenue riskAssists in closing feedback loops after issues are resolvedOwns root-cause analysis of operationally driven denials and revenue leakagePartners with operational leaders to redesign processes that prevent repeat issuesEnsures denial fixes are embedded upstream and sustainedSupervisory Responsibility:  No Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience2+ years of experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, or clinical supportSpecialty pharmacy, infusion, or home health experience preferredExposure to authorizations, clinical documentation, or billing workflows preferredProcess Improvement, audit, or QA experience preferredStrong attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to work cross-functionally with frontline teamsPercentage of Travel: 0-25%Driving Position: No

**To perform this role will require frequently sitting and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasionally standing, walking and climbing (stairs/ladders). The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 1-10 lbs**
