Responsibilities Identify opportunities to improve department workflows and cross functional processesResearches and resolves revenue cycle problems and discrepanciesServes as informational resource to other revenue cycle coordinators and staff and provides assistance and guidance with their daily activitiesPerform general accounts receivable functions regarding revenue, billing, and cash processesUpload or key revenue received from operationsFollow billing schedule to ensure claims are billed in a timely mannerWork with operations to resolve denialsComplete month-end close processes, such as revenue balancing and reportingLead monthly Accounts Receivable calls with assigned operations to work aging as well as participate in monthly Critical Account calls for the entire regionFollow proper procedures for revenue adjustmentsWork unapplied cash and complete cash transfers, including daily cash deposits and cash control sheets dailyAssist with reviewing and processing refund requests, charge backs, returns and bad checksField questions throughout the month regarding revenue, billing, and aging issuesCommunicates with customers in a timely manner regarding claims, invoice payments, phone inquiries and account updatesOther duties as assigned Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in accountingMinimum of three to five years of accounting experience heavily weighted toward tax compliance and reporting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of General Tax Accounting PrinciplesStrong analytical and problem resolution skillsExercises independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work according to applicable regulations, company policies and proceduresAbility to utilize new tools and technologies in a rapidly changing environmentAbility to multi-taskAbility to provide accurate and efficient service under the stress of constant deadlines
