Revenue Accountant
Job Title: Remote Revenue Accountant

Job Description

As a Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606. You will participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities, as well as commissions accounting close activities and deliverables, including reconciliations, revenue dashboards & reporting, revenue reserves, and flux analysis. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and reporting, prepare revenue-related reports for financial statement disclosures, and lead or support the implementation and migration of revenue accounting systems.

ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze complex customer contracts for revenue recognition treatment.Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities.Partner with cross-functional teams for accurate revenue forecasting and reporting.Prepare revenue-related reports for financial statement disclosures.Lead or support implementation and migration of revenue accounting systems.Collaborate to define systems requirements and ensure alignment with accounting policies.Perform systems testing, validation, and user training for new implementations or enhancements.Interface with internal and external audit on revenue-related issues.Support US GAAP audit and maintain SOX control documentation.Essential Skills3‐5 years of experience in a revenue accounting role within the SaaS technology or subscription-based industry.Public accounting experience preferred; CPA is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.High proficiency using the NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management module in multi-currencies and multi-subsidiaries environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working through a revenue recognition tool implementation.System implementation and UAT experience (NetSuite) preferred.Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment

The company operates as a software platform company, established in 2009, that combines customer service, marketing, and orders into one platform. It has experienced rapid growth, necessitating significant system updates. The current revenue team consists of 10 employees. The work environment is fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-changing. This is a fully remote position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $110.00/hr.
