Job Description
The Vendor Manager position is for a passionate customer and brand advocate with proven analytical capabilities, project management skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize. This position supports our Vendor Manager team who are P&L owners and hands on operator with some of the world's greatest brands that have a direct selling relationship with the client. This VM must be an excellent communicator and excellent at prioritizing numerous tasks - this person will work cross-functionally every day with supply chain, finance, advertising, etc. to ensure that your businesses are positioned for growth and sustainable success. A great VM candidate is someone that has a "can do" attitude, is passionate about driving customer-centric outcomes, and has a track record of delivering business results. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.
Key job responsibilities
• Act as the business owner for assigned categories, possessing a complete understanding of various tools and resources in order to resolve defects in listings and create the best customer experience.
• Support the creation of promotions, monitor and analyze results, in order to achieve business objectives.
• Maximize the client's selection opportunities by identifying gaps and working with vendors to resolve.
• Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of site features that provide customers with an unparalleled shopping experience
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines
• Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, business preferred. A Bachelors degree of any kind is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail merchandising or vendor management
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis (pivot tables, v-lookups)
- Excellent presentation, organization and account management skills
- Vendor management experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Strong database and computer skills
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
- Experience in process improvement
- Experience with pricing and selection strategy
- Experience in online retail
- Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL (most needed) or HTML
- Experience with apparel or licensing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
