Restoration Technician
Job Title: Water Damage & Mold Remediation Technician

Job Description

Join a leading 24-hour rapid response restoration and general construction firm based in Burbank, CA. We specialize in water damage mitigation, mold remediation, fire mitigation, vandalism, and board-up/fencing services, serving the greater Los Angeles area. As a Water Damage & Mold Remediation Technician, you will be at the forefront of our emergency response team, providing fast, high-quality service to customers in need while upholding professionalism and safety.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to emergency service calls.Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and mold remediation using company equipment.Inspect and document affected areas, taking moisture readings and photographs as needed.Set up, monitor, and adjust drying equipment to ensure proper moisture removal.Safely perform mold remediation following company protocols and industry guidelines (IICRC standards).Remove and dispose of contaminated materials according to safety and environmental regulations.Maintain accurate job documentation and update work orders.Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining the restoration process.Follow safety protocols, wear proper PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Assist with loading, unloading, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment.Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency responses.

Essential Skills

Valid driver’s license.High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in water damage restoration, mold remediation, or related field preferred (IICRC certification a plus).Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.Minimum 2 years experience in restoration.Ability to read and write English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

IICRC Certification.Experience with smoke cleaning, mold remediation, and pack-outs.Strong English communication skills and documentation abilities.

Work Environment

Technicians will work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, meeting at the shop in Burbank each morning. The role includes participation in an on-call schedule, one weekend per month and 6-7 weekdays per month. Lead technicians typically work with a crew of four, fostering a collaborative work environment. The job requires adherence to safety protocols, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The role also involves travel within the West LA, including Pacific Palisades and Burbank areas, and the Alta Dena area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burbank, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
