THE ROLE
The Server provides exceptional guest service by greeting patrons, taking and accurately entering orders, and delivering food and beverages in a timely and professional manner. This role ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean dining environment, promoting menu specials, responsibly serving alcohol, and coordinating closely with kitchen and bar staff. The Server handles multiple tables efficiently, while maintaining high standards of safety, service, and hospitality in a fast-paced environment.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Greet guests, present menus, and answer questions about menu itemsTake orders accurately and enter them into the POS systemServe food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentationCheck guest identification for alcohol service and follow Smart Serve guidelinesMonitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concernsClear tables and maintain cleanliness of dining areaAssist with opening and closing duties including setting tables and rolling silverwareHandle payment transactions and provide receiptsCommunicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure coordinationPromote specials and upsell additional items when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must be at least 18 years oldExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to handle multiple tables and prioritize tasksAttention to detail and accuracyKnowledge of food and beverage menu itemsProficiency with POS systems and electronic payment processingAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsPrevious restaurant serving experience preferredFood handler certificationAbility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekendsProlonged standing and walking throughout shift, often on concrete or stairsFrequent carrying and lifting of trays, beverages, and food items up to 25–40 pounds (heavier for barbacks and runners)Ability to balance and maneuver while serving in crowded or confined spacesFrequent reaching, bending, and stoopingAbility to communicate clearly with guests in a noisy environment

COMPENSATION

Hourly Rate of $12.30.
