Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Requirements:

 

To perform with a high degree of competency all clinical aspects of respiratory care for all age groups (adult, geriatric, and pediatrics)Alveolar recruitment therapy Lung expansion therapy (Incentive spirometry)Aerosolized medication delivery systemsMedical gas systemsVentilator initiation, management, and troubleshooting for adult and pediatric patientsBronchial hygiene therapy Arterial blood gas puncture, analysis and interpretationNon-invasive monitoring systems Infection control proceduresNon-Invasive Ventilation Bronchoscopy assistRegistered Respiratory TherapistLicensed Respiratory Care Practitioner from the State of OhioBLS and ACLS Graduate of Associate degree or higher accredited Respiratory Care programOne year practice as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner preferredMust possess quality assessment skills and independent critical thinking, utilizing therapist driven protocols to drive appropriate patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

 

To perform high level clinical respiratory care under indirect technical supervision as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.Additional the position demonstrates a strong approach to all network initiatives and will be a role model for KHN mission, vision, and values.Performs various respiratory procedures on a day-to-day basis under indirect supervision for all age group as specified per campus departmental policyExercises good independent clinical judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and proceduresMaintains productivity at or above required levels.Assures correct documentation of all recordsOccasionally performs the role of Lead Therapist, shift Team Leader, or clinical Instructor as assigned Overview
