Job Title: Residential Plumber

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Residential Plumber to join our team. The role involves drilling and notching out studs and walls for the installation of piping systems, following blueprints and layouts for bathrooms, kitchen units, and laundry rooms, and installing Cast Iron, Pex, and PVC piping systems. You will also be responsible for cutting, measuring, and hanging drainage systems, as well as roughing-in bathrooms, kitchen units, laundry drainage, and vents. The installation of tubs and showers will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Drill and notch out studs and walls for piping installations.Follow blueprints and layouts for various units.Install Cast Iron, Pex, and PVC piping systems.Cut, measure, and hang drainage systems.Rough-in bathrooms, kitchen units, and laundry drainage.Install tubs and showers.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in plumbing, cast iron, PVC, mechanical, Pex, and PVC pipe systems.At least a 2nd year Apprentice or above.Minimum of 2 years of experience in Canada.Strong communication skills.Ability to cut, measure, and fit Cast Iron, PVC, and Pex systems from day one.Capability to travel to various construction sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Red Seal certificate is a nice to have.Knowledge of fall protection and first aid.Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Work Environment

Work sites are located throughout the city, and efforts will be made to assign you to sites closer to your home. Be prepared to travel within Calgary and surrounding areas. Current projects are in locations such as Auburn Bay, Chestermere, Rangeview, Silverado, COP, and Okotoks. The work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with available overtime, typically resulting in 50+ hour work weeks. Most sites offer parking or are transit-accessible, providing year-round employment opportunities. Our projects focus on residential new construction, from townhomes to wood frame walkups and concrete towers, with 30 ongoing projects in all quadrants of the city.
