Residential Manager – OLV Human Services OMH Program - Residential Treatment Facility (RTF): Our Residential Treatment Facility – located in Lackawanna - has the most current features and technology for resident safety, complementing the special care provided by our dedicated and experienced staff. We take a person-centered approach to serving those with interpersonal, emotional, psychiatric, social, family or educational issues. We create a tailored plan of treatment based on specific goals of the resident. While the RTF is on the cutting edge for resident safety and well-being, it is also designed to be home-like in a therapeutic environment. Note, the term “home-like”, not “like home”. That’s because our goal with every resident is to help them get back to their own homes, care-givers and communities as soon as possible. The Residential Manager- RTF is responsible for overseeing the operation of their assigned site(s). They directly supervise, coach and mentor Behavior Health Specialists and Overnight Aides, working to insure that the highest possible quality of life and personal achievement can be obtained. Essential Job Duties: 1. Responsible for the operation, either directly or through delegation, of their assigned work site(s). 2. Ensures site(s) are operating in accordance with all relevant regulations and BVS policies, including fiscal parameters. 3. Provides positive role model to co-workers and staff. 4. Effectively resolves concerns related to management of assigned site(s) and/or seeks direction from their Director. 5. Responsible for direct supervision, coaching, orienting, role modeling and evaluating assigned staff, by providing supervision, bi-weekly or as needed, and evidenced through supervision notes and probationary and annual evaluations. 6. Interviews/hires/trains appropriate candidates to maintain a high quality and effective team including TCI training/testing. 7. Shares responsibility with other supervisors to cover staffing phone to ensure appropriate coverage/ratios and safety in every unit. 8. Reviews and submits UTM documentation to ensure accurate payroll submission. 9. Conducts monthly environmental check-list and partners with maintenance staff to ensure a welcoming and safe environment. 10. Provides documentation of information/review of documentation (client daily logs, communication log, census sheets, meal count sheets etc.) and ensures assigned staff are providing meaningful documentation. 11. Responsible for completing SIRs, Fact Finding, investigations and formal follow-up. 12. Maintains PEX/petty cash for unit, distributes chore money and any other necessary funds and clothing allotment, and ensures site has necessary supplies for clients and staff. 13. Facilitates daily debriefs and weekly staff meetings including SIR reviews and post crisis response. (weekly supervisor meeting and bi weekly department meeting). 14. Maintains appropriate and regular communication with all other departments (Business office, Housekeeping, H.R. etc.). 15. Assists Director in maintaining contact with family members, court representatives, county workers, school personnel and other individuals involved in client’s treatment. 16. Performs other duties as assigned. Understands and leverages the organization`s structure and relationships and pursues organization support and resources Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred) Minimum Experience Required: 5 years applicable prior experience with HS Diploma/ 3 years with Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree) Required License/Registration/Certification: - Valid NYS Driver’s License - Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Trainer Certification Physical Requirements: The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required.
