Job Description

Join our team as a Residential Maintenance Technician at a 580-unit Garden Style Apartment Complex in McLean, VA. You will be responsible for completing general maintenance repairs, apartment turnovers, preventative maintenance, and grounds maintenance efficiently and on time. The role involves heavy lifting and working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme weather conditions.

ResponsibilitiesPerform all aspects of maintenance work, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.Resolve maintenance issues promptly without supervision.Repair and maintain kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures and appliances.Prepare or assist in preparing vacant apartments to a market-ready condition.Report maintenance problems to the supervisor.Inform the supervisor of additional maintenance work needed to improve or maintain the property.Conduct snow and ice removal from sidewalks and parking lots.Maintain mold awareness.Pick up trash observed on the grounds.Essential SkillsProficiency in electrical work, HVAC systems, plumbing, and carpentry.Valid driver's license.CFC Universal certification.Two years of experience in residential building operations and maintenance.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust own basic tools.Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, heaters, pumps, compressors, water systems, and similar systems.Smartphone and computer skills.Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers.Ability to lift up to 50lbs.Must live within 30 minutes of the worksite.Why Work Here?
