Job Description Summary

Resident Engineer – MEP will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on-site for data centre construction projects. This role ensures that MEP systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and data centre operational requirements. The role acts as the technical representative on site, coordinating contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver high-availability, mission‑critical infrastructure.

About the Role:

Supervise day-to-day MEP construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and data centre standards.Review and coordinate MEP shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals with consultants and contractors.Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of critical systems such as power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, fire protection, and BMS.Ensure all MEP works adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including local codes and international data centre best practices.Report construction progress, technical issues, and risks to the Project Manager, and support site inspections, testing, and handover activities

About You:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).Minimum 7–10 years of experience in MEP construction supervision, with at least 2–3 years in data centre or other mission‑critical facilities.Strong knowledge of data centre MEP systems including power redundancy, cooling systems, and critical infrastructure commissioning.Experience managing contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary site teams.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑availability construction environment.
