Description Serve as the lead field engineer or inspector on large-scale roadway, bridge, and utility construction projects. Interpret complex engineering plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution and compliance. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily field reports, quantity tracking, and change orders. Proactively identify and resolve field issues, collaborating with contractors, clients, and design teams to develop practical solutions. Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and construction documentation. Facilitate communication among stakeholders, including municipal agencies, contractors, and internal teams. Mentor junior staff and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure and efficient job site. Experience with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, or municipal infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and documentation standards.
