We are looking for a smart The Resident Architect for Data Center Construction is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the architectural integrity, design compliance, and construction quality of the data center project. Acting as the on-site representative of the architectural design team, the Resident Architect plays a crucial role in ensuring that the construction aligns with the design intent, meets the project’s aesthetic, functional, and technical requirements, and adheres to relevant standards and regulations. This position requires close collaboration with project managers, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the construction process. The Resident Architect (RA)must:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that the construction of the data center strictly follows the approved architectural designs, specifications, and project plans.Review and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation on site.Provide architectural guidance and support to the construction team to resolve any design-related issues that arise during construction.Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of architectural finishes, such as flooring, ceilings, walls, partitions, and external facades.Review and approve samples of materials and finishes submitted by contractors.Identify and report any non-conformances or defects in architectural works and ensure timely rectification.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company standards and policies.Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with Architectural standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Reporting: Prepare and submit regular inspection reports, including SOR reports, audit findings, and compliance metrics, to senior management and client bodies.Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness for potential emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field.Registered Architect with the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) is preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural practice, with at least 3 years in a similar role overseeing large-scale construction projects, preferably data centers or mission-critical facilities.Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction methods, materials, and finishes.Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and standards in Malaysia.Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on site.Possess a strong knowledge of architectural processes, building codes and safety regulations.Hold excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.Possess strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
