Position Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator.

The Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Psychiatry Residency and Fellowship Training Programs. He/she will be responsible for facilitating the process of credentialing and on-boarding trainees, maintaining records, compiling and monitoring the master schedule for meetings; organizing program seminars, training programs and other related activities. Acts as a liaison between faculty, trainees, and the GME office.

Job Responsibilities:

Monitor the onboarding process and all related activities for the Psychiatry Residency and Fellowship Training Programs. Work with trainees to ensure credentialing process is running smoothly. Coordinate activities regarding licensing, moonlighting, annual contracts and recredentialing of trainees. Assist with coordinating interviews during recruitment season. Coordinate recruitment events. Coordinate administrative and technical support for all program meetings, didactics and events. Serve as a liaison to trainees and for the GME office and the participating sites where trainees rotate addressing problems and bringing them to the attention of Program Directors as needed. Maintain attendance and payroll sign-in sheets for trainees. Handle financial reimbursements for residency program. Coordinate New Innovations system, inputting schedules and overseeing rotations for residents. Assist Program Directors, Program Manager and GME office in ensuring standards of the program are met and that trainees are in compliance with established policies and procedures. Maintain complete and accurate files to meet national board requirements related to the program. Respond to verification requests for current and past trainees. Provide website management for all 4 years of psychiatry residency including special track programs ensuring up to date and accurate information is available. Coordinate program curriculum logistics. Coordinate activities related to the curriculum including scheduling, course evaluations, curriculum mapping, and quality improvement of teaching and learning for the PGY 1-4 residents. Maintain course materials and enter data in the Google Drive, including syllabus, readings and articles. Act as liaison between course directors, lecturers and residents. Coordinate in-rotators electives. Assist with psychiatry in-service exam. Manage calendar for Residency Program Director and Vice Chair for Education. Order office supplies. Perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a BA Degree plus 2-3 years of responsible office administration experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in health care administration, business or education administration preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills.
Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook.
Familiar with Internet applications.
Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Knowledgeable of New Innovations, Brightspace, Peoplesoft and ACGME policies preferred.
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of leadership and management.
Ability to multitask while paying attention to details.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $66,144.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
