Job DescriptionAs a Researcher at the NBC News Washington Bureau, you will play a critical role in the news organization’s Washington beat coverage. In this highly collaborative job, you will work closely with the news desk, beat correspondents, and other producers on key shift. The Researcher will spend their time focused on the White House beat. You should be willing to work flexible hours, days, and holidays, with a willingness to travel.
Job Duties:
Log beat-related events and background calls during their shifts Assist in breaking news & on-going story coverage, including through reporting and research Work with correspondents to prepare for live, taped and written reports for all NBC News Group platforms Utilize a variety of logging platforms, such as Otter and Media CentralPitch original story ideas for all platformsHelp maintain spreadsheets and research documents related to White House QualificationsBasic Requirements:
