Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is looking for a talented research scientist to work on an innovative project, involving the design, microfabrication and benchtop characterization of neural interfaces for multimodal recording and stimulation of the central and peripheral nervous system. The research scientist will be responsible for the design and implementation of the neural interfaces, design of the experiments and performing in vivo electrophysiology experiments on rodents.

This position may be filled as part-time (# hours) or full-time (37.5 hours per week), depending on candidate availability.

Responsibilities:

Propose and lead independent research goals within scope of projects.Contributor in developing and documenting research findings and collaborator in writing scientific papersActs as team leader, providing project management directionLead research efforts within main goals of project and help coordinate interactions with other team members and universities.Writing documentation, technical papers, progress reports and participating in meetings/committees.Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:
