Integrative Immunobiology is looking for a short-term Research Scholar to join Dr. Valdivia’s lab. This position will be working on an NIH-funded project to understand the role of secreted exopolysaccharides in controlling the transport of secreted proteins by the probiotic microbe Akkermansia muciniphila.
Minimum Requirements:
PhD in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with anaerobic bacteria, molecular genetic tools, protein expression and purification, and advanced computational experience in structural modeling.

Onsite. The work is performed on-site or at a designated assignment location.

Computational characterization of protein folding models across Akkermansia proteins Characterization of putative glycosylation sites on secreted Akkermansia proteins Data interpretation and assembly of a manuscript describing the findings.
