Don't miss out on the opportunity to work alongside the world's best in paediatric healthcare. **Position Description** **Research Program Manager Clinical Trial Support Unit (CTSU), Division of Hematology-Oncology** The Clinical Research Program Manager - Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU) Program/Section Lead provides strategic, operational, and regulatory leadership for designated clinical research programs within the CTSU (https://www.sickkids.ca/en/care-services/centres/garron-family-cancer-centre/clinical-trials/) for the Division of Hematology-Oncology. This role is responsible for overseeing a complex and high-risk portfolio of clinical trials across the New and Innovative Therapies (NAIT) Program, with a focus on early-phase studies, and the Neuro-Oncology Program. The Program Manager oversees the full lifecycle of industry-sponsored, investigator-initiated, and consortium/academic clinical trials, while providing direct leadership and mentorship to a team of Clinical Research Associates (CRAs). Working closely with Principal Investigators, sponsors, regulatory bodies, internal hospital stakeholders, and national and international collaborators, the role ensures that all trials are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations, institutional policies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). As a senior leader within CTSU, the Program Manager serves as a key point of contact for section-specific clinical research activities, contributes to strategic planning and process improvement, and represents SickKids at local, national, and international forums related to clinical trial conduct. **Here's What You'll Get to Do:** + Provide strategic and operational oversight for a complex portfolio of industry-sponsored, investigator-initiated, and consortium/academic clinical trials from start-up through close-out. + Provide direct leadership and supervision to CRAs, including workload planning, performance management, mentorship, and professional development. + Lead regulatory compliance across all program studies, including REB submissions, safety reporting, audit readiness, and inspections (e.g., Health Canada, Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency). + Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsor monitoring visits, audits, and inspections, including post-inspection follow-up and CAPA implementation. + Lead national and international investigator-initiated trials (IITs), supporting protocol development, study planning, vendor oversight, and regulatory submissions. + Oversee consortium and academic collaborations, ensuring regulatory compliance, data quality, financial oversight, and adherence to national and international requirements. + Collaborate closely with Principal Investigators, sponsors, hospital departments, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality trial conduct and timely delivery of milestones. + Oversee study budgets, contracts, and financial management in partnership with contracts, legal, and CTSU finance team. + Ensure effective data management practices, including oversight of databases, CTMS and project management tools, and data lock activities. + Contribute to CTSU and institutional strategic initiatives, SOP development, and national working groups, while representing SickKids and CTSU at internal and external forums. **Here's What You'll Need:** **Essential Requirements** + Baccalaureate degree in life sciences or related discipline + Minimum of 6 years' experience in interventional clinical trials management is required + 3-5 years' experience managing multiple, complex early phase, industry-funded or consortium clinical trials + 2-3 years' experience supervisory/project management experience + Excellent organizational and analytic skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously + Experience managing a large research program for 5 or more PIs, or managing multiple clinical trials + Ability to work independently, provide leadership direction, and guide staff at varying levels of experience. + Strong people management experience with demonstrated accountability for staff performance, workload oversight, coaching, and mentorship, combined with the ability to independently manage complex clinical trial operations. **Assets** + Experience supporting IITs, including protocol development, study planning, and/or regulatory oversight. + Master's degree or other graduate-level education. + Certification in clinical research (e.g., ACRP, SOCRA). + Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. + Experience representing programs at national and international forums. **Here's What You'll Love** + This position is eligible for employee benefits coverage and pension plan (HOOPP).
