About the Role & Program

Disney Entertainment’s Research, Insights & Analytics (RIA) division serves as a center of excellence consisting of more than 100+ world-class researchers measuring all aspects of media consumption across a wide range of networks, digital properties and SVOD services to guide The Walt Disney Company.

This internship will support the Research Operations team within the Research, Insights & Analytics division. We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized intern who is passionate about operational efficiency and clear communication.

This role will collaborate cross-team (within Research, Insights & Analytics) and cross-functionally with groups and stakeholders from business units across Disney Entertainment to support general administration of a portfolio of research projects and team operations and make our cross-team / functional collaboration more efficient and impactful.

This internship is a full-time, 6-month commitment in the New York, NY area from June 2026 through January 2027.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help coordinate multi-disciplinary research teams in ongoing program / project management of ad hoc and recurring research initiatives, reporting, and insights management. This includes:

Operational Tracking & Communications

Maintain and update project tracking files on weekly and monthly cadences.

Proactively reach out to team members to confirm status updates; close loops and ensure data hygiene across trackers.

Monitor deadlines, dependencies, and risks.

Support copyediting of concise summaries, status reports, and executive briefings.

Process Design & Efficiency

Assist with mapping of current- and future-state processes.

Support change management and rollout (documentation, training aids, adoption tracking).

SharePoint & Automation

Support organization and maintenance of RIA SharePoint site structure, permissions, and content hygiene.

Build and refine simple automations (e.g., Power Automate flows, reminders).

Ensure interoperability across connected SharePoint sites and Teams channels.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Strong proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis on PowerPoint (clean slide design / formatting, iconography) and Microsoft Excel (formulas and pivot table experience)

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt tone for various audiences (peer, manager, executive)

Basic data hygiene and governance awareness (naming conventions, information hierarchy)

Demonstrated organization and attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

Natural curiosity, aptitude for creative problem solving and strategic thinking

Growth mindset; motivated by efficiency, organization, and continuous improvement.

Comfortable proactively following up, clarifying requirements, and providing regular status updates.

Experience working in collaborative environments

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with process automation tools, AI productivity tools (Copilot)

Experience with project management software tooling (JIRA, Airtable)

Familiarity with process mapping

Previous internship experience in a related industry

Education

Senior year preferred

Major or previous coursework in Business, Communications, Operations, Finance, Psychology or related major preferred

Required Materials

Candidates must submit a cover letter as part of their application.

Candidates are asked to submit a sample of relevant work. This can be in the form of a concise PowerPoint presentation (up to 5 slides) or a concise writing sample (1 page) written for an audience who may not already be familiar with the topic of the presentation / document.

Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

Be at least 18 years of age

Possess unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Information

This internship is a full-time, 6-month commitment in the New York, NY area from June 2026 through January 2027.

Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.

Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, NY area.

Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work in the New York, NY area

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
