Job Description

The Research Manager is responsible for analyzing multiple consumer and media datasets to develop reports and presentations that provide insights into how audiences are utilizing media across landscapes.

Responsibilities include:

Daily, weekly, and monthly reports using quantitative media resourcesSupport the management, sales, news and marketing teams with research and insights that help drive business and media decisions: including programming performance, audience, consumer, and economic market insights, as well as competitive media analysisEvaluation of research vendor’s methodology and audience samples/panelsCreate and/or update sales collateral materials including, but not limited to, media kits, industry category decks, and viewer profilesProcess adhoc requests from account executives and other internal stakeholdersAssist in the production of custom presentations for advertising clientsEvaluate programming estimates/forecastOversee local program title across platformsHelp craft resonant and insightful presentations from raw dataContribute to sales meetings and presentations with clientsStay current on developments in the media industry and share thoughts on impact

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, statistics, or another quantitative or analytical field preferred or equivalent experience; specialization in data science is a plus.At least 2 years of experience in a data driven and/or media marketing roleAbility to interpret large amounts of data and provide insights Proficiency in data visualization; ability to tell stories through data in a compelling and creative wayProficiency in Excel including pivot tables, lookups, and logic statements to manipulate and analyze data; knowledge of data visualization tools like DOMO, PowerBi and Tableau is a plusProficiency in PowerPoint is requiredKnowledge of Nielsen and/or Comscore ratings (including applicable software) and other syndicated media research sources such as Scarborough, Simmons, Kantar, and POLK Automotive (a plus).Experience in digital analytics is a plus
