Responsibilities include equipment management (installation, maintenance, vendor coordination), regulatory compliance (biosafety, chemical safety, animal use protocols), and liaison with MIT Environmental Health and Safety, facilities, animal care programs, and external vendors. Manages onboarding and offboarding, safety training, inspections, and renovations; assigns oversight of laboratory spaces and equipment; and supervises hazardous waste, gas and liquid nitrogen systems, animal colonies (mouse and zebrafish), and shared laboratory supplies.
