The individual in this role will run trials at farmers’ fields and Research stations part of the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Stations. Part of the coordination and implementation of the trials will include coordination of data collection, running data analyses, preparation of reports and presentations during in-state, regional, national and international meetings. **This is a one year limited term position and is funded from external sources. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.** **Essential Functions** Essential functions include the following: + Collect and analyze spatial data, as well as prepare digital prescription maps to be uploaded and used in farm machinery (planter, sprayer, spreader, irrigation system, grain combine). + Establish soil fertility experiments, summarize the results of those experiments, and prepare peer-reviewed journal articles with the main findings of those studies. Minimum Qualifications **Minimum Qualifications** **Research FellowIII :** Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field and four (4) years of laboratory experience with research practices and protocols. **Research Fellow IV:** Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field and six (6) years of laboratory experience with research practices and protocols.
