**Job Description** **The Department of Neurology has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Outreach, Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator to work with the University of Washington Alzheimer’s Clinical Trial Consortium (ACTC), one of 32 Centers funded by NIH.** ACTC conducts community-based research that promotes the health and well-being of middle-aged and older adults, particularly those with lower incomes and in ethnic/cultural minority populations most at risk of health disparities. The Outreach Coordinator will support activities across several projects in the areas of outreach, education and engagement for Alzheimer’s Disease clinical trials. The Outreach Coordinator will support and take on primary outreach, recruitment, and engagement coordination responsibilities across Dr. Michael Rosenbloom’s portfolio of trials including interventional, observational, and brain health studies. This person will be responsible for the creation of community facing and research materials, full cycle event planning and execution, pre-and post-event surveys, and assisting in the development of a Clinical Trials Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement manual. Other responsibilities include coordinating communication within team and across event partners and associated coordination tasks that arise during the event lifecycle. This position requires some local travel. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication. The candidate who fills this position will work closely with several research team members to coordinate and support dementia clinical research, with multiple goals and support requirements. This position will require a talent for multi-tasking and prioritizing the needs of numerous clinical trials. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + **15%** - Create and promote events to customized distribution lists via email, mailers, WhatsApp, website, and in person. Act as liaison for event communications with event participants + **20%** - Host at least 2 yearly events for community members related to dementia clinical trials + **20%** - Take lead on identifying appropriate venues, coordinating dates, securing materials, ensuring accessibility, and submitting necessary paperwork + **15%** - Coordinate all study meetings including scheduling meetings, creating and sending meeting agenda, setting up video conference calls, notes taking, disseminating meeting minutes, creating action items after the meeting and tracking all action items + **5%** - Work with Director and Program Manager to coordinate contact and outreach to various partners, both internal and external. Assist Director and Program Manager in identifying needed speakers/panelists for events + **5% -** Facilitate connections with university and local press to disseminate press releases relating to upcoming events + **15%** - Create, disseminate, and summarize surveys and elicit feedback from participants and other event partners, identifying strengths and weaknesses to improve future productions. Provide a summary of relevant data from all engagements, including tracking timelines and allocations of resources. + **5%** - Complete other duties as assigned **Supervisor Responsibilities:** + This position may involve mentorship of an undergraduate student.
