Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.** **Essential Functions** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: + Data collection, management, and analysis + Operation of research instrumentation + Supervision of graduate and undergraduate students + Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications **Minimum Qualifications** **Research Associate I** Master’s degree in Horticulture or closely related field; no experience required. **Research Associate II** Master’s degree in Horticulture or closely related field and 2 years of experience in research practices and protocols relevant to the position. *Substitution allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications **Minimum Skills and Abilities** Demonstrated technical excellence and ability to work both independently and in a team environment required. **Minimum Technology Skills** General experience in word processing and spreadsheet software. **Minimum License and Certifications** A valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment is required.
