Position Summary:

“Exploring Pediatric Trainees’ Experiences Using AI-Supported Deliberate Practice to Improve Serious Illness Conversations with English-Speaking Families in Quebec”                        

This project explores how pediatric residents learn serious illness communication skills using an AI-based simulation platform that enables repeated deliberate practice. The study examines trainee experiences and analyzes communication skill development using AI-generated dialogue transcripts.

Role Overview:

• Support platform case and AI dialogue development.

• Conduct research with minimal supervision following established protocols.

• Coordinate participant recruitment, scheduling, and documentation.

• Support qualitative data collection, coding, thematic analysis, and knowledge translation.

• Assist with scholarly output (abstracts, posters, presentations and manuscripts) preparation and/or dissemination as the project progresses to the relevant stages.


Qualifications:

• PhD in a relevant field.

• 5+ years experience with qualitative research.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
