Job Description:The Department of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Science is seeking applications for a full-time position at the rank of Research Assistant Scientist with an interest in clinical research related to temporomandibular disorders and related pain conditions, including clinical trials for these types of pain. This position is supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health.
Applicants must have a strong interest in assisting with clinical trial implementation and oversight as well as developing a highly productive research career at a research-intensive institution. Candidate must have previous experience in overseeing intervention research, particularly in the area of temporomandibular disorders (TMD). The incumbent will work closely with faculty in the Pain Research and Intervention Center of Excellence (PRICE) to implement new and ongoing clinical intervention projects examining TMD and related pain conditions. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, proven ability for self-motivation, and the capacity to work in a team are required. Evidence of excellent organizational skills is preferred, as well as an ability to interpret and present scientific and clinical data.
Responsibilities will include assisting with clinical trial implementation, regulatory oversight, supervising research staff, and contributing to scholarly productivity
Expected Salary:Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
