This position will perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of a clinical trial on ketamine-assisted therapy + a mindfulness training program for patients with opioid use disorder as well as possibly other psychedelic trials. This would involve working with a clinical research coordinator to help with recruiting and contacting participants, managing study related tasks such as verifying eligibility, enrolling participants, assisting with study related screening procedures including EKGs, scheduling participant visits, maintaining study related records, transporting samples or laboratory equipment, monitoring inventory levels and order supplies. **Learn more about the great benefits of working for University of Utah: benefits.utah.edu** **Responsibilities** Essential Functions: + Support daily operations of clinical trials focused on ketamine assisted therapy combined with mindfulness training for patients with opioid use disorder, along with potential participation in other psychedelic research studies. + Collaborate closely with the clinical research coordinator to assist with participant recruitment, outreach, and follow up communication. + Verify participant eligibility, assist with enrollment activities, and help conduct study related screening procedures such as obtaining EKGs under appropriate supervision. + Schedule participant visits, coordinate appointment logistics, and ensure timely completion of study requirements. + Maintain accurate and organized study records in accordance with research protocols and regulatory expectations. + Assist with transportation of samples or laboratory equipment between designated research and clinical sites. + Monitor supply and equipment inventory, track usage, and place orders to ensure adequate availability of materials needed for study procedures. + Provide general administrative and operational support to promote smooth and efficient study workflow. **Minimum Qualifications** **EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :** 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). **Research Assistant, II :** Requires at least 1 year of related experience. **Preferences** **Type** Benefited Staff **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** _The University of Utah values candidates who have experience working in settings with students from diverse backgrounds and possess a strong commitment to improving access to higher education for historically underrepresented students._ _Individuals from historically underrepresented groups, such as minorities, women, qualified persons with disabilities and protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
