YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!A Research Assistant contributes to AHF by providing analytical, research, and operational support to advance the Institute’s work across global and regional public health policy, governance, and health systems strengthening. Contribution includes conducting targeted research, literature reviews, and policy analysis on priority subject areas aligned with AHF interests, including regional capacity building, global health financing, access to medicines, and multilateral processes related to global health governance.
A Research Assistant enhances the reputation of AHF by directly impacting the quality of the quality of research conducted by the AHF Institute, the impact that this evidence has on our advocacy, and the overall impact of our advocacy itself.

To be successful as a Research Assistant it is crucial to ensure that the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do. At AHF we are nimble and able to adapt in a dynamic environment to assist in providing the best experience for our clients and workplace for our employees.
AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.
The Research Assistant will work as a part of a close-knit team to assist in: Conducting targeted research, literature reviews, and policy analysis on priority subject areas aligned with AHF interests; report for in-office work three times a week at Southern Burea; Assist with the organization of in-person and virtual events, webinars, and other efforts; Attend and summarize meetings and important events in global public health; Assist the Director with policy and legal research; organize and compile data; summarize findings; Correspond regularly with team members and provide weekly updates; Collaborate with the research team and partners in support of our various initiatives; Aid in communications efforts and content creation (e.g., documents, reports, presentations, website, email lists, etc.); Updates the website and creates original content to drive traffic/SEO; Perform other administrative and research duties, as assigned; Monitors emerging policy developments and global health news and reports key findings and implications to the Director in a timely and structured manner.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum Bachelors degree required.
Master of Public Health or similar preferred.
