This position plays a key role in supporting clinical research operations, participant interaction, and data quality. The ideal candidate is punctual, organized, adaptable, and comfortable engaging with the populations we serve. Prior research experience is not required, training will be provided for candidates who bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail. This position will report to the study’s Senior, Clinical Research Coordinator. This position is on-site in our offices on the Research Park campus. **Learn more about the great benefits of working for University of Utah: benefits.utah.edu** **Responsibilities** **Essential Functions** + Serve as a first point of contact for study participants and provide professional, compassionate interaction throughout the research process. + Conduct structured phone‑based assessments with enrolled participants at designated study time points. + Maintain study blinding and follow all study‑specific confidentiality and protocol requirements. + Accurately document participant interactions and ensure adherence to regulatory and study documentation standards. + Review questionnaires for accuracy and completeness; verify data with participants as needed. + Complete mental‑health and safety screenings and ensure all required follow‑up procedures are conducted promptly. + Maintain organized research records in compliance with university and regulatory policies. + Support scheduling of participant visits and maintain study calendars. + Monitor supply inventory and assist in ordering materials when necessary. + Transport study materials, including traveling to off‑site locations as needed. + May be required to obtain and use a notary license to notarize study‑related forms. + Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor to support research operations. **Minimum Qualifications** **EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :** 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). **Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:** **Research Assistant, I:** Requires little to no related experience. **Research Assistant, II :** Requires at least 1 year of related experience. **Preferences** **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** _The University of Utah values candidates who have experience working in settings with students from all backgrounds and possess a strong commitment to improving access to higher education for historically underrepresented students._ _Individuals from historically underrepresented groups, such as minorities, women, qualified persons with disabilities and protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
