The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Public Health has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Research Assistant 2 to work in Miami, FL.  

The Research Assistant 2 assists with and explores innovations to research and strives to improve implementation and family outcomes. The Research Assistant 2 ensures compliance with University policies, rules, and regulations to meet federal, state, and local standards pertaining to safety and ethics.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Plans and implements research experiments, according to research protocols, to assure high-quality scientific results in support of applicable project goals.Assists with assessing the feasibility of implementing innovations.Assesses data trends and develops reports and presentations.Supports the initiation of new research by reviewing and synthesizing literature.Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.Assists in the preparation of scientific papers, reports, and manuscripts.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in research, community-based settings, etc. or study coordination is required.REDCap experience preferred.Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.High-level interpersonal skills are required.Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.Excellent English oral and written communication skills and strong computer skills are required.Knowledge of medical terminology.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Commitment to the University’s core values.
