The laboratory of Professor Madeleine Sharp is seeking to fill a position of Part-Time (20 hrs per week) Research Assistant at the Montreal Neurological Institute under the supervision of Drs. Madeleine Sharp, Alain Dagher and Ron Postuma.

They are looking for an individual to assist in conducting a CIHR-funded longitudinal study examining the progressing of cognitive impairment in individuals with Parkinson’s disease and aimed at identifying the underlying risk and protective factors.

The Research Assistant with work under the direct supervision of the principal investigators. The specific responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that we are following research procedures and protocolsAssist with participant recruitmentOversee the execution of research procedures, including data collection, through interviews, and collection of demographic, clinical, cognitive and MRI dataWork with collaborating teams on data collectionFollowing data management proceduresCompilation of research data and data cleaningConduct data analysis in support of research activities and assist in writing of reportsTrain and provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate student research assistants in service of the projectPerform administrative tasks in relation to the project, e.g. ethics applicationsIdentify areas of improvement in procedures and implement changesAssist with the preparation of grant applications
