Our client, in consumer packaged goods manufacturing is seeking a **Sr Research & Development Associate** to join their team. This role is ideal for a seasoned R&D professional who can operate independently, manage complex formulations, and contribute meaningfully to speed-to-market initiatives within a fast-moving FMCG environment. **Job Title: Sr Research & Development Associate** **Location: Montvale NJ (Hybrid)** **Contract: 18 Months (extension possible)** **Pay Range: $70 - $75 hourly (W2)** **Job Details:** + Lead formulation and product development from concept through commercialization, ensuring speed-to-market in a fast-paced FMCG environment. + Design and execute lab experiments, performance testing, and stability studies independently, serving as a technical SME on cross-functional teams. + Drive problem-solving and optimization to meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements, while supporting scale-up and manufacturing transfer. + Collaborate across functions (Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing) and mentor junior team members to uphold best practices and compliance. + Author technical documentation and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout development processes. **What we're looking for:** + **Bachelor’s degree minimum** in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field + **5+ years of experience in R&D** , **formulation, or product development in Consumer Goods (not Pharma: if that's your only industry experience it won't be a fit)** + **Strong background in FMCG product development in Consumer Goods** (surface care, laundry, personal care) + Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple workstreams in parallel and demonstrated experience supporting innovation pipelines and fast-paced product launches + Nice to have but not required: Spanish language, global product development If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, **click apply now** and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
