Our client, in the food processing industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be part of a systematic process that ensures that their food products meets or exceeds quality standards by evaluating the production process and its end result to ensure best quality and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in food safety, ability to communicate well, and quality control skills in a food processing environment which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Food Quality Control Tech
Location: Rome, GA.
Pay Range: $22 to $24 (depending on experience)
Primary Purpose: Make appropriate decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions and disposition of goods. Ensure that Kerry products are up to standards and are of high quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct required tests, analysis, and/or verification steps to assure that raw materials, batched. 2. Verify conformity through measurement and assessment. 3. Make quick decisions and use sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions and disposition of goods. 4. Ability to handle being exposed to smell and a variety of flavor products, essential oils and raw materials. 5. Be able to participate in safety initiatives, committees and teams. 6. Never take shortcuts or use the improper tools/equipment that could compromise the safety of themselves or others. 7. Food safety and quality is Kerry’s priority so it’s important to adhere to all Food Safety/Quality SOP's while also accurately completing required Food Safety & Quality records. 8. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a hazard free work area. The above listed duties are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. This position is temp to perm, working a schedule of 6pm to 6am, two on/two off work week.
Job Requirements:
At least a year of Quality Assurance experience in a food processing environment High School diploma Ability to communicate effectively: written and verbal Ability to utilize a computer
