You will be responsible managing a portfolio of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) accounts, while developing, and executing strategic sales initiatives to meet Cargo Division revenue goals. You will interface with, and make presentations to SME accounts, as well as developing and maintaining strong external relationships with the management teams of small to medium, freight forwarders and shippers. **What you'll do** + Identifying and developing new business opportunities while implementing customer engagement strategies for the variety of customer segments we serve. + Maintaining and expanding commercial relationships with customers that participate in the SME space and executing upon a go-to-market strategy to drive incremental revenue from new customers. + Meet sales targets, both short and long term for assigned account portfolios and capture a dynamic set of performance metrics that demonstrate engagement and measurement of the effectiveness of the SME portfolio. + Representing the interests of our customers and the sales organization in various projects + Collaborating with the Field Sales teams, Sales Planning & Analysis and with Revenue Management to manage the evolving needs of our customers. + Working with Cargo Operations team to provide excellent service delivery for our customers. + Seek new partnership opportunities with both established and emerging industry associations, particularly in the small-medium freight forwarding community, with the aim of driving revenue growth in regions and industry segments that traditionally have had little access to American’s Cargo network and product suite. **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Quali** fi **cations- Education & Prior Job Experience** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience **Preferred Quali** fi **cations- Education & Prior Job Experience** + 1+ years of job-related experience within the airline, air cargo, or aviation sales industry or relevant experience + Prior experience in airlines/transportation/freight forwarding. **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + Strong knowledge and experience of sales with a track record of contract negotiation and implementation. + Advanced business case writing, and PowerPoint presentation skills. + Highly data and process driven with excellent analytical skills. + Excellent spoken and written English skills. + Project management skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple, time- sensitive deliverables and competing priorities. + Well versed in industry issues; trends with expertise in matters relating to cargo. + Sound understanding of regulations and legislations governing international trade. + Willingness to tackle complex problems with minimal supervision. **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
