Main responsibilities:

The Replenishment Operations Director oversees and manages performance of national and/or regional Replenishment Operations teams focused on order management and inventory management activities. This role is highly focused on driving efficiency, process management and operations, and leads large teams while striving for as much as optimization as possible.

The Replenishment Operations Director oversees teams of Replenishment Managers, Senior Buyers and Buyers, and owns the ultimate decision rights in all operational activities. The Replenishment Operations Director also maintains a close contact with the Division planning support team on inventory issue resolution, and interacts with suppliers to conduct and troubleshoot daily product flow execution. As a key member of the national replenishment team, the Replenishment Operations Director commits to delivering a high standard of professional integrity.

Lead a team of Replenishment Managers, buyers and department specialists to ensure delivery of key performance indicators including but not limited to Distribution center to store fill rate, inventory turns, overall working capital, aged inventory and product loss.    Direct supply chain product flow through the network to deliver lowest net landed cost. Execute best practices in collaboration with suppliers and Replenishment Category Directors to continuously deliver positive net landed cost results. Build and maintain strong relationships with Distribution, Transportation, Sourcing, Own Brands and Food Safety/Quality Assurance as well as supplier network. Work closely with Replenishment Category Directors and the Replenishment Center of Excellence to implement continuous process improvement initiatives to drive supplier performance and overall supply chain effectiveness. Support the financial performance of replenishment teams in assigned region through understanding of the P&L flow and associated behaviors that impact the accounts within the P&L. Partner with the corporate traffic team to optimize company’s inbound freight program.  Lead replenishment teams with their adherence to food safety, quality and regulatory requirements. Resolve any issues related to performance of team members. Facilitate talent management responsibilities across team with a focus on team member career development and growth. 

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: 

Work may be performed in a temperature-controlled environment  Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time  May spend long periods of time at desk or computer terminal  Will use keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during the course of normal workday  Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties  Workday is fast paced; some evening and weekend work may be required 
 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Education Level: 

4-year college degree required, MBA preferred or equivalent grocery Supply Chain/ Replenishment industry experience.

Experience Level:

5 - 7 years of experience in multiple facets of Supply Chain (including Retail Operations, Buying, Logistics and Manufacturing). 5 - 7 years of people management experience.

Skills and Experiences: 

Demonstrated track record of leading process implementation, execution, and issue resolution. Demonstrated track record of superior project and people management skills with proven ability to establish timelines that meet or exceed financial and operational goals. Demonstrated track record of supplier interface for Replenishment product flow execution and issue resolution. Comprehensive understanding of grocery retail industry preferred. Strong business acumen and P&L awareness. Exceptional systems skills especially MS Office and Supply Chain systems.

Travel Requirements: 50%+
