Repair Technician

Summary of Job:

The repair technician is responsible for performing test, fault finding and repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment and devices at component/sub-assembly level.

Key Accountabilities:

Perform various repair activity, diagnose test failures and perform necessary rework in order for units to pass specification requirementsSchedule, complete and document routine maintenance on applicable manufacturing and test equipmentRead schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets, and process sheets to perform testing, build fixtures, checkout and trouble-shoot equipmentAssist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root causePerform tests, gather data, and write results/reports with assistance from Manufacturing Engineering, utilizing various types of electro-mechanical equipment.

Qualifications: 

RequiredMinimum Advanced Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering (or equivalent)DesiredIPC-610/620/7711/21 Certified

Work Experience: 

Required5+ years’ relevant experienceAdvantageousExperience in Defence Manufacturing environmentExperience in ESD controlled environmentExperience in AS9100 certified environmentExperience using ERP systems (currently using QAD)
