**Job Title: Repair Technician**
Job Description
As a Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers. Your tasks will include assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing these containers. Additionally, you will manage warehouse operations, including material movement, and ensure containers are clean and free from defects. You will also respond to technical assistance requests, provide training and demonstrations of active systems, document all work, monitor spare parts stock, and maintain the repair facility in optimal condition.
Responsibilities
+ Perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers.
+ Manage the warehouse and oversee material movement.
+ Patch holes and perform deriveting and riveting on cargo containers.
+ Ensure containers are delivered clean and defect-free.
+ Respond to technical assistance requests from customers.
+ Provide training and demonstrations of the CSafe FAA-approved Active Systems.
+ Document all work performed using the CATS and CSafe WO system.
+ Monitor and maintain stock of spare parts.
+ Pick up and drop off RKNs from/to customers.
+ Maintain the repair facility in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
+ Assembly or repair experience.
+ Basic electrical knowledge.
+ Experience in structural repair, aviation, sheet metal, HVAC, or electrical fields.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical experience beyond assembly line work.
+ Experience in HVAC or construction.
+ Connection to aviation or Part 145 experience is a plus.
+ Prior military experience is advantageous.
+ 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment
This position is based in a repair facility located at ORD and operates on the first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The warehouse is maintained in a clean condition, though it is not temperature-controlled, it remains comfortable for work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
