Rental Technician 1 Salt Lake City, UT Job Type Full-time Description Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking to hire a qualified Rental Technician 1 in our Salt Lake City, UT location. These are full-time positions with benefits. The Rental Technician 1 is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of Caterpillar equipment and other dealer-supported equipment. Candidates must maintain a safety-first mindset in all tasks and consistently utilize TRACK/Tyfoom systems to support safe and efficient operations. **Duties & Responsibilities:** + Must understand and adhere to the personal responsibility of safety and work safely always. Adhere to all company safety programs and policies. + Ability to work as a team, communicate effectively, and take ownership of assigned tasks. + Troubleshooting of heavy equipment for minor to major repairs. + Perform general maintenance & lube services on equipment. + Must be willing to have a flexible work shift, work extended hours, or possible weekends as workload requires. + Willing to receive on-the-job training and direction even as a Shop Service Technician. + Willing to complete all job tasks as required by your team leader, supervisor, and management. + Shop Service Technician classification. **Requirement Qualifications:** + Must utilize TRACK and work safely at all times. + Must have excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to navigate through electrical and hydraulic schematics. + Professional, positive attitude and appearance. + Self-starter with lots of ambition. + Positive, open-minded attitude and understanding that optimism is a requirement to be on this team. + Willing to promote a teamwork atmosphere, working closely with all departments throughout the company. + Can work in a high-pressure environment and maintain a professional attitude. + Excellent mechanical skills with prior experience. + Ability to write accurate and detailed service reports on time. + Understand the urgency of our industry and the needs of our customers in getting their equipment back up and running as quickly as possible. + Excellent organization and communication skills. + Willing to attend various training classes to expand your knowledge. + Must have dealership experience/work history on heavy equipment repair. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working on all different makes of equipment, such as Caterpillar, JLG, Genie, Broce, Multiquip, Husqvarna etc. + Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Cat ET & SIS, and other related software platforms. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
