Remote Project Scheduler

Overview:

We are currently seeking an experience Project Scheduler to join our client in a fully remote capacity and support their defense industry projects.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and update detailed integrated project schedules using Microsoft Project using Earned Value Management principles.Create resource-loaded schedules to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources.Develop and manage integrated master schedules that span multiple projects, ensuring alignment and coordination across all initiatives.Develop, maintain, and update detailed low-rate production schedules.Coordinate with the team to ensure schedules are met and adjust as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or capabilities.

Program Control / Earned Value Management:

Lead implementation and execution of Earned Value Management (EVM) processes in compliance with client EVMS standards and contract requirements.Develop and maintain program-specific planning, scheduling, and baseline control processes.Support development and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).Prepare and support Integrated Performance Management Report (IPMR) submissions as required.Support preparation for DCMA audits, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and other program reviews.Facilitate coordination with CAMs, IPT Leads, and Program Managers to ensure accurate status, variance analysis, and corrective actions.Assist in developing documentation, narratives, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.

Scheduling:

Collaborate with program management team and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to identify resource requirements and constraints in a matrixed organization.Perform resource leveling and optimization to avoid over-allocation and ensure timelines are met.Assist program management team and IPT leads in establishing baseline schedules and reporting progress.Monitor resource utilization and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in scope or resource availability.Project future manpower requirements and make recommendations to the program management team and IPT leads related to resource requirements.Track progress against the schedule and identify any deviations or risks.Analyze and report on schedule variances and schedule performance indices.Prepare and present regular schedule status reports to program management team, IPT leads and all other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

US Citizenship. (Secret Clearance Eligible)Bachelor’s degree.Minimum of four years of practical experience with Microsoft Project with a strong focus on resource-loaded schedules and integrated master schedules.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project.Experience in a federal contract environment, particularly with the Department of Defense (DOD) Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking as required to support a range of recurring responsibilities

 

Desired:

Project Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) Certification.Experience in scheduling for production operations.Best candidates will be extremely process-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
