Job Title: REMOTE Medical Assistant

Job Description

Join a mission‑driven healthcare organization focused on improving pediatric preventive care and quality outcomes. The Quality Improvement Medical Assistant (QI‑MA) – Pediatrics supports clinical teams by identifying care gaps, improving documentation accuracy, and helping ensure children receive timely, high‑quality preventive services. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented Medical Assistant with an interest in quality improvement, population health, and pediatrics.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre‑visit chart reviews to identify open pediatric care gaps and prepare care teams.Perform post‑visit audits to ensure screenings, immunizations, and documentation are accurately completed in the EHR.Support pediatric quality measures (HEDIS/UDS), including well‑child visits, developmental screenings, and immunizations.Track and maintain pediatric quality data using Excel and population health tools.Conduct outreach to parents and guardians to schedule well‑child visits, vaccines, and preventive screenings.Coordinate follow‑up care and support standardized pediatric workflows aligned with quality improvement protocols.

Essential Skills

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).Experience in pediatrics and/or a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting.Intermediate Excel skills and comfort working with data and reports.Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs).Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.Experience with pediatric quality measures, audits, or population health workflows.Familiarity with immunization registries (CAIR) and quality platforms such as Cozeva is a plus.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with providers and care teams.

Work Environment

This position is based in a fast‑paced outpatient pediatric setting with a strong focus on preventive care and quality improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
