Senior Reliability Engineer – Plymouth, MN; Faribault, MN or Staunton, VA – Hybrid

Daikin Applied is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Reliability Engineer to join our rapidly growing organization. This role will research, plan, develop, design, and conduct reliability tests on HVAC&R components, products, and systems by performing the duties listed below. Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN; Faribault, MN or Staunton, VA

What you will do:

Lead the FMEA process and provide design support by identifying design weaknessesIdentify key reliability benchmarking, goal setting, and testing associated with DAA productsDevelop and implement reliability improvement plan for components/systems associated with DAA productsDeliver significant reliability improvements as measured by engineering, manufacturing, and service, and project the total life cycle costs of predicted reliability through the life of the partsConduct physics based reliability calculations with qualification tests to validate calculations/predictionsEstablish reliability procedures and testsIdentify product failure modes and defectsDrive system and subsystem assessments and predictions during designMake design recommendations to improve reliability and resolve conflicting requirementsConduct specification of associated test equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in engineering, (Mechanical or Electrical) or related technical field8+ years of experience in product reliabilityExperience with mechanical testing reliability testingWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)Experience with Reliability SoftwareExperience with assessments and qualification of component / system and product reliability (DFMEA and PFMEA)People Leadership experienceExperience with HVAC systems

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $109,100 - $183,200 plus a 15% bonus in Minnesota and Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
