Reliability Engineer
Job Title: Reliability EngineerJob Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the reliability and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role involves working with an aluminum cast house responsible for transforming scrap aluminum into various alloys and aluminum billets. The position is integral to ensuring the efficient operation of equipment such as furnaces, extruders, robotics, and yard equipment, while adhering to safety standards and production needs.

ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, adjust, and repair equipment, including furnaces, extruders, robotics, saws, and palletizers.Respond promptly to equipment failures to meet production needs and safety standards.Facilitate workshops, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving sessions.Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and planning teams to support Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and continuous improvement projects.Work with consulting partners to replicate and scale reliability processes across multiple plants.Conduct floor walk-throughs, validate technical understanding, and engage with plant personnel.Maintain strong communication and continuity across on-site and remote work environments.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.10+ years of industrial manufacturing experience.Strong background in reliability, maintenance, or continuous improvement.Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM); familiarity with inverted RCM is a plus.Proficient in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsSix Sigma certification (Yellow/Green/Black Belt) is preferred.Experience in smelting or heavy industrial environments is advantageous.Demonstrated strong cross-functional leadership skills.Work Environment

This role involves a flexible work arrangement with 25% remote work and travel between plants located in Bluffton, IN; Lordstown, OH; and Wisconsin Rapids, WI. The work environment includes interaction with heavy industrial equipment and requires adherence to safety protocols. Opportunities for bonuses are available based on production targets, safety achievements, and budget management, providing potential additional earnings throughout the year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63.00 - $69.00/hr.
