Reliability Engineer
Job Title: Reliability EngineerJob Description

The Reliability Engineer will lead the execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), predictive maintenance (PdM), and mechanical integrity to ensure asset availability, uptime, safety, and regulatory compliance.

ResponsibilitiesPerform asset criticality assessments and activities to prioritize maintenance effort.Verify and evolve master data templates and maintain a detailed asset library with nameplate and engineering data.Partner with system owners and the CMMS team to develop, standardize, and optimize maintenance and PdM plans.Establish work management, planning, and scheduling processes for preventive, predictive, refurbishment, and shutdown activities.Design and implement a comprehensive PdM capability covering vibration analysis, laser alignment, motor testing, infrared thermography, ultrasound, motion amplification, and oil sampling.Develop and execute lubrication and mechanical integrity programs.Conduct equipment installation inspections and operational readiness assessments.Support refurbishment programs.Ensure master data verification and CMMS integrity.Provide technical guidance to internal teams to enable sustainable, cost-effective maintenance strategies.Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.Other accountabilities as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in reliability engineering and asset management.Knowledge of CMMS (SAP PM & MM preferred).Familiarity with concepts like FMEA, RCM, Reliability by Design, PM optimization, Root Cause Analysis, and Failure Analysis.Ability to read and review design drawings with a basic understanding of P&ID, HVAC, electrical systems, etc.Knowledgeable with pharmaceutical or chemical processing equipment.Minimum of 2 years in engineering with a focus on equipment reliability and maintenance.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaintenance & Reliability/Asset Management Accreditation I (CRL, AMP) or equivalent preferred.Greenfield/Brownfield experience.Mechanical integrity expertise.Experience with asset criticality assessments.Work Environment

The position is based on-site in Clayton, requiring regular interaction with various systems and equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Clayton, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
