Release Engineer / Manager
**Job Description** Key Responsibilities + Manage and coordinate software release activities for the o9 platform, including minor and small enhancements. + Handle incident management related to releases, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations. + Collaborate with development, QA, product management, and operations teams to plan, schedule, and execute releases. + Prepare and maintain the release calendar in coordination with all relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment. + Automate release processes and deployment pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce risks. + Monitor release progress, identify potential risks, and proactively communicate issues to stakeholders. + Document release procedures, configurations, and post-release reviews. + Support root cause analysis for release-related incidents and implement preventive measures. + Continuously improve release management practices and tools to enhance quality and reliability. + Identify opportunities to automate and improve the release process. + Implement best practices for release management. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. + Proven experience as a Release Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role. + Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management best practices. + Experience with release orchestration tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines. + Familiarity with incident management processes and tools. + Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills + Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. + Knowledge of **o9 practices** and CI/CD pipelines. + Knowledge of the o9 platform or similar enterprise planning software. + Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. + Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
