Rehabilitation Clerk – Position Overview:The Rehabilitation Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Therapy Department while assisting with resident coordination and department organization. This role is vital to maintaining accurate documentation, supporting therapists and leadership, and ensuring a clean, efficient therapy environment.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:Scan and upload Daily Interaction Forms and Mobile Audit Logs
Track and update insurance authorizations
Assist the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) and Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) with therapist documentation follow-ups
Maintain records for therapy-related equipment (wheelchairs, assistive devices, adaptive equipment, etc.)
Place calls to family members regarding therapy evaluations and discharge planning
Support insurance requests and authorizations
Assist with resident transport or wheelchair follows during ambulation training, as assigned
Clean, organize, and maintain therapy gym areas
Order equipment for subacute patients with required authorization
Track documentation to ensure physician signature requirements are met; print documents for physical signatures when electronic signatures are unavailable
Qualifications High School diploma or equivalentGeniune interest in working with elderly populationProficiency with computer usage and programsExperience in healthcare industry and/or customer service preferred
This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
