Rehab Technician - Pediatrics
Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to support our fun, outpatient pediatric rehab teams at M Health Fairview Pediatric Rehab in Woodbury and M Health Fairview Clinics and Speciality Center in Maplewood! 

 

The rehabilitation technician is responsible for assisting therapists in providing safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care by preparing patients for their therapy session, assisting therapists with patient transfers, assisting with rehab equipment during therapy sessions, ordering equipment and supplies, and performing clerical tasks as directed.

FTE 1.0, authorized for 80 hours per pay period.Schedule: Monday - Friday, daytime hours. Full benefits such as medical, HSA, dental insurance, vision insurance, 403b, PTO, Shift Differentials, health & wellbeing resources, paid for continuing education credits, and more!

M Health Fairview Rehabilitation offers a range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Audiology and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, our therapists collaborate with colleagues in all medical settings and offer dozens of specialty programs.

Responsibilities

Assists therapist with treatment equipment for use in patient treatmentPrepares, maintains and cleans department/treatment areas in compliance with appropriate polices related to infection control, safety regulations and other established guidelinesCompletes cleaning per scheduleStocks suppliesCompletes maintenance, temperature and safety checklistParticipates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiativesCompletes scheduling functions as assignedProduces efficient and accurate schedules and associated reportsRecords and updates schedule changes accurateCommunicates changes to all involved staff in a timely mannerParticipates actively in department problems solving, coordination patient schedule for multiple disciplinesSeeks out solution to time conflicts directly through parties involved and other available resources


Required Qualifications

Completion of 2 years towards Bachelor’s Degree in health/exercise related fieldBasic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

B.S./B.A. in health/exercise related fieldHealthcare experience with direct patient care
