Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Regulatory Specialist to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and standards, particularly focusing on ingredient statements and nutrition fact panels. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to guide the commercialization projects, ensuring seamless formula renovations and continuity in the ingredient supply chain.

Responsibilities

Create accurate ingredient statements and nutrition fact panels.Review and approve raw materials and formula compliance through FDA regulations and standards within PLM.Provide regulatory guidance on ingredient, formula, claim, labeling, and commercialization projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory standards in label content.Utilize SAP PLM to review and approve ingredients, formulas, and graphics.Research and stay informed on upcoming regulatory changes and assess risks in commercialization projects.Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with related training.Co-lead third-party certification audits.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in CFR21 and FDA regulations.Experience with SAP and food regulatory processes.Ability to write ingredient statements and nutrition fact panels.Experience in reviewing ingredients, formulas, and graphics.Minimum of 2 years in a food regulatory position following US FDA and CFR 21 regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with PLM software, ideally SAP or Dragonfly.Familiarity with food label review software and DSHEA regulations.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.Adaptability and flexibility to change.Strong prioritization and time management skills.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
