Regulatory and Product Compliance Specialist

Responsible for ensuring the company's products meet all applicable regulatory, sustainability, safety, and industry standards. Research and interpret requirements, evaluating the company's product portfolio for compliance and coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to gather necessary documentation. **Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities** + Monitory and maintain relevant regulatory, sustainability, safety and industry standards. (i.e. domestic manufacturing regulations - Build America Buy America (BABA), Buy American Act (BAA); sustainability standards - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED); federal standards - Department of Transportation (DOT); health and safety standards - Prop65, NSF61; and others relevant to the construction industry) + Maintain existing approvals, support the pursuit of new certifications and help the organization stay ahead of the evolving compliance expectations within the construction industry. + Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to obtain necessary documentation on product compliance. + Prepare, submit, and maintain compliance documentation, declarations, and certification applications. + Support sales and customer service teams by providing product compliance certifications as requested. + Identify compliance gaps within the product portfolio and develop actionable recommendations or alternative product strategies to close gaps. + Develop and refine internal processes for collecting, tracking, distributing and maintaining compliance data. + Stay informed on emerging requirements that may impact existing product compliance. **Nature and Scope** + Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data. + Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process. + May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel. **Work Environment** + Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. + Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. + Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time. **Education and Experience** + Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas. **Preferred Qualifications** Minimum Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. · 2-5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or product safety. · Strong organizational and documentation skills. · Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities. Preferred Requirements: · Advanced degree or certification in compliance or regulatory affairs. · Experience with construction materials and product safety programs. · Knowledge of third-party testing and certification processes. Salary Range: $63,900 - $102,200 The work location for this position will either be on-site in Miamisburg, OH, 8-5 Monday through Friday, or in Atlanta, GA on a hybrid schedule two days a week in our Field Support Center.
